Antonia Lofaso
Chef Antonia Lofaso's culinary creations are an invitation to explore the depths of her interior world. She became interested in food following her move from suburbs of Long Island to the diverse scene of Los Angeles. Carnitas, cavatelli and many different dishes are all available on one menu. It's a continuously changing sensibility. What remains is her singular idea of the future and yearning to recall the past. Inspired by her Italian-American heritage Lofaso has opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 that was highly acclaimed. Lofaso's classic Italian rendition is widely regarded as to be one among Los Angeles' most captivating restaurants. Lofaso has been consistently praised by the patrons of Scopa's for offering meals that feel authentic and deliciously enjoyable. Lofaso was a trainee to the master chefs of culinary, absorbing their techniques and taking risks. She did not hesitate in doing so, merely following her own intuition. She quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went into working closely with celebrity chefs in a number of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. In Black Market and the business partnership she created, Lofaso finally found an appropriate new home. The collaboration could provide creativity and freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market has no one idea in its head and that's the way it goes. The menu could begin with potato chips dill with shishito chillies, then move on to a Korean meal of meatballs and wings. Antonia anchors the bold range of flavours. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her success on the basis of her natural ability to comprehend her audience, while keeping true to her character. Apart from her memorable performances of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her distinct style was also recognized outside of the kitchen. Today she continues to be awe-inspiring on television as an CNBC judge and recurring role on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso collaborated in partnership with Penguin in 2012 to launch The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Delicious home-cooked Meals. This publication also tells her story about her struggles attending The French Culinary Institute and raising Xea. Lofaso claims that her enthusiasm for cooking is the driving motivation behind her successes. She remains on top of things through keeping an attention to trends and fashion. She is transforming the design by creating chef's wear to be functional and stylish, through her brand Chefletics. What matters to Lofaso is staying true to your concept. With this goal, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering, which will convey a more tailored approach to providing clients with the most personal service.
